Bring your whole family for a walk through the iconic setting of the Vale of Belvoir. This April, for the fourth year, join our Nottingham Branch on a beautiful Spring Sunday walk, along the Grantham Canal.
The canal was built in the 18th century and abandoned in 1936; however it still remains for leisure use. The 20km walk takes in the stunning views of the Vale of Belvoir and boasts sights of the local sights and wildlife. There are 7 bridges along the route, which include the Old Fosse Bridge and the Jericho Lodge Bridge. Whilst many of the bridges have been rebuilt, there is still some original brick to be seen. There is also plenty of history to experience along the way, which includes a living memorial to honour those in World War I!
Sign up now and take on the distance that best suits you, with 3km and 20km entries available. Both events begin and end at the Hickling Basin.
